Jesus at the centre
We follow Jesus, believing he is good news for real life. He shapes our worship, our decisions and our hope for the world.
A Baptist community
We’re part of the Baptist family, committed to a shared journey of faith, generous welcome and a church life shaped from the ground up by our local community.

We choose to:
Seven values shaping who we are becoming
These values help us live out our faith together. Click to explore each value, or scroll down to read more.
1
Draw from the Source
Our Father invites us to draw close and depend on him, trusting his love, strength and wisdom.
To turn to God in prayer and worship, allowing him to shape our priorities and guide our lives.
Self-reliance, spiritual performance and drifting from what matters most.
2
Rest
Jesus teaches us to receive rest as a gift, trusting that everything does not depend on us.
To practise Sabbath and healthy rhythms, making space to be with God and one another.
Hurry and the pressure to prove our worth through constant activity.
3
Create with Joy
The Spirit brings life, opening our eyes to God’s goodness and inspiring creativity, celebration and fresh possibilities.
To live with creativity and generosity, delighting in the good things God gives.
Fear, cynicism and routines that leave us simply going through the motions.
4
Be Real
Jesus meets us as we are and leads us towards wholeness. We grow through honesty, grace and life together.
To be honest and vulnerable, welcome accountability and nurture relationships shaped by grace.
Hiding our struggles, judging one another and pretending our faith is perfect.
5
Make Room
Jesus shows us a welcome that notices, listens and makes room for people to belong and contribute.
To practise hospitality, foster belonging and share opportunities to serve and lead.
Cliques, prejudice and every form of discrimination that tells people they do not belong.
6
Walk with Young People
Jesus welcomes children and young people into his life and mission now. We listen, learn and grow alongside them.
To be present, offer encouragement and create opportunities for children and young people to grow, contribute and lead.
The idea that children and young people must wait until adulthood to belong, contribute or lead.
7
Repair What Is Broken
Jesus brings restoration where life has been damaged. We join his work through compassion, justice and practical action.
To act with compassion, advocate for justice and work with others towards lasting change.
Indifference, injustice and the belief that someone else will deal with it.
Our shared direction
As we grow, we’re committed to three priorities that shape our life and mission together.
Deepening faith
More people knowing and following Jesus.
Seeking justice
A fairer, kinder Clapham Park for all.
Building community
A church where everyone belongs and can make a difference.
Every generation matters now.
From the youngest to the oldest, we all have a part to play in God’s story in Clapham Park today.
